Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has announced that this year there will be Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advance in foreign countries. They have also said that students from foreign countries who wish and are eligible for appearing can take Indian centres with their own personal expense.
Officials said, as after monitoring the situation due to COVID-19, in India and foreign centre’s, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has declared that they won’t conduct JEE (Advanced) 2021 in any of their foreign centres. Foreign national candidates if they wish to appear for examination need to select Indian centre’s also on their own personal expense. Travel and accommodation will not be provided by the institute.
Students who belong to SAARC countries have to pay 75 USD and students who are not from SAARC country need to pay 150 USD.
‘Also the registration fees do not include any service charges, processing fees or any other charges that the bank may process. This fee is non-refundable and non- transferable’.
Students who are not Indians, OCI or PIO card holders will be treated as foreign nationals.
For the Foreign national students who have completed 10+2 are not required to write the JEE Main 2021 exam and can directly appear for JEE Advanced 2021,
“ All International Students will be considered as in addition and will not be counted as a part of 2,50,000 Indian national candidates who are applying for JEE Advanced 2021.”
